Hey friends,

Last weekend, we celebrated Cooper & Kenzie’s baptisms, rocked out with the Praise Band, shared communion, tasted some wonderful garden treats as well as the usual baked deliciousness, and we learned all about practice #3: In a culture of fear, we share FOOD! I’m hungry just thinking about it! :) Replay worship here.

If you are ready to take the next step in Loving Others, check out Immediate Serving Needs.

You can also start or deepen your generosity journey by giving a one-time or recurring offering to help feed people and fuel Prince of Peace’s mission! Give here to support the mission. Mid-year giving statements were emailed to you on Monday. Click the link in the email to view and download your statement, any unopened statements will be sent through the mail. If you need help, contact Susan Klemstein.

This weekend, we’ll sing some classic hymns, and Pastor Matt will lead us into another spiritual discipline that helps us Love Others, practice #4: In a culture of isolation (and loneliness), we share FRIENDSHIP! Let’s WORSHIP together (practice #2 on the Path of Peace)! Pray we get some good weather for Saturday night outdoor worship!

Here are a couple of FYI’s and prayer prompts:

  • Slovakia Mission Team returned home on Monday after a safe and Spirit-led journey! They’ll be sharing stories soon! In the meantime, praise God!

  • Liz Rossow, our one-year, full-time, Director of Christian Education (DCE) intern arrives this weekend! Praise God! Welcome, Liz! Bring in your gift cards this weekend to help shower her with love as she starts!

  • Vacation Bible School (VBS) is next week! 60 1st through 5th graders and 35 student and adult volunteers are set to converge on our campus for 3 days of FOOD, FRIENDSHIP, and FAITH in Jesus! 50 kids and 15 volunteers are from our community!

Here are a couple of upcoming events to invite your FRIENDS and share FOOD:

Do you have an organization with a Christian mission that you personally support through financial donations, volunteer hours, or prayer? If you are a Prince of Peace Member, you may apply for funding for that organization through our Mission Grants fund. You can apply for one mission grant per calendar year. The organization can perform local, national, or international mission work. Third quarter applications are due August 1. Click here for an application. See what other organizations your generosity is supporting!

Godspeed to all of you wherever it is that you are reading this note: at home, at work, in the car, at the grocery store, at the poolside, or at some exotic destination! We may be in different places in the country or the world or in different seasons of life, but we have this in common: friendship with Jesus. Hope in Jesus! We worship Jesus, our Prince of Peace, and we walk the Path of Peace!
